Hospital for Special Care - Manes and Motions Therapeutic Riding Center
Barn Assistant

The Barn Assistant is responsible for the daily care and management of the horses at Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center to include daily feedings and administering of supplements/meds, blanketing, mucking stalls and paddocks, cleaning feed and water buckets and associated barn chores. This position is responsible for turning horses out and bringing them in, in accordance with program schedules, farrier/vet/dentist schedules and weather conditions. The Barn Assistant monitors the overall health and soundness of the horses and communicates any concerns or problems to the Program Coordinator or designee.

Candidates must possess: Ability to take a horse’s vital signs and identify health concerns, illnesses and unsoundness; One year experience in the field of equine care; preferred: High School Diploma; At least two years horse ownership experience


Hospital for Special Care - Aquatic and Fitness Center
Lifeguard

The Aquatic Rehab Center Lifeguard is responsible for the prevention of accidents, safety, emergency and lifesaving interventions, and the protection of human life at HSC’s Aquatic Rehab Center while on duty.

Candidates must possess: American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification; Quarterly demonstration of physical lifeguarding skills; 6 months experience as a lifeguard or equivalent swim team experience

Preferred: High School Diploma


Hospital for Special Care - Aquatic and Fitness Center
Aquatic Instructor

The Aquatic Rehab Center Instructor is responsible for designing and teaching swimming lessons in a private or group setting according to Water Safety certification standards. This position requires the ability to deliver safe and effective instruction to class participants with varying swimming abilities.

Candidates must possess: High School Diploma or GED; American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification; CPR Certification including Automated External Defibrillation (AED); One year experience as a Water Safety Instructor;

Preferred: American Red Cross Adapted Aquatic Instructor


YWCA New Britain CT
Director of Finance

As a member of the YWCA New Britain, and the Executive and Finance teams, this position is responsible for the efforts, results and success of the YWCA Business Office; manages agency financial controls according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); and provides advice/support regarding finances to YWCA Senior Managers, The Board of Directors and Board of Trustees. The Finance Director oversees, directs and implements the activities of the business office including: management of information technology, personnel records, revenue/debt collection/payables, and grants management. Must be able to work with a diverse team of individuals within a wide variety of environments. Be familiar with, and work in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). A Bachelor’s Degree, and 3-5 years’ experience in non-profit accounting or related field is preferred but commensurate experience that includes supervision and increasing responsibility related to organizational finance will be considered. This individual is a member of the YWCA Senior Management Team. EOE.
