William D. Moore, President
William Moore comes to New Britain from Berlin, Vermont, where he has served as President and CEO of the Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce Board for the past three and a half years. Mr. Moore has decades of experience advising Chambers of Commerce and related business groups and trade associations, including several in Connecticut. He has worked as a consultant on governmental and media relations, marketing, member development, and strategic planning, and has served as chief executive of several New England associations. During his tenure with the Central Vermont Chamber, he helped develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan, provided guidance to the group’s board of directors, and was instrumental in launching new initiatives such as the Central Vermont Young Professionals group. He will officially begin his duties on July 15, 2019 at the 20th Annual Golf Outing.
Nella Lastrina, Director of Administrative Services
After graduating from Central Connecticut State University in 2017 with a degree in Public Relations, Nella joined the Chamber as the Program Coordinator and Grants Administrator and quickly transitioned to Director of Administrative Services. Her day-to-day duties include engaging with members and non-members, scheduling events and programs, identifying potential grant sources and ensuring grant application accuracy, marketing and promoting local businesses, and managing the Chamber’s website and social media accounts.
Sarah Thompson, Director of Member Services
Sarah joined the Chamber as the Member Coordinator and Bookkeeper after graduating from Central Connecticut State University in 2018. She now has a bachelors degree in Business Organization, with a concentration of Entrepreneurship. Her work with the Chamber includes coordinating member renewals, processing new members and member resignations, engaging with members and non-members, accounts receivable, accounts payable and helping organize Chamber events.
