New Britain, CT – Saturday, May 21, from 9:00 AM to noon, the Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Series event will feature vintage pre-1979 cars, a display of pre-war (1942) brass and big classics and a special display of station wagons and woodies. Many fond family memories were made in these cars during summer road trips and family vacations. Now in its 26th year, the Vintage Motorcar event attracts car owners and enthusiasts who are drawn to the event to give back to children and families and see great cars at Klingberg Family Centers’ hilltop campus in New Britain.

The May event will also highlight Klingberg’s Foster Care Program. Foster families and parents will be available to answer questions and share their experiences. Come and meet these caring people who work with children and youth in need and the great staff who run the program and support the foster parents. Over 4,000 children in Connecticut are in need of foster care. All proceeds of the event will go to Klingberg Family Centers’ programs helping children and families.

EZstrEATS Food Truck will serve coffee and breakfast, and the Klingberg History Museum will be open during the event. Family lawn games and crafts will also be part of the fun. Free spectator parking will be on the Klingberg campus at 370 Linwood Street, New Britain.

Mark Johnson, Vice President at Klingberg Family Centers, says, “May is a great time to think back to those car rides on family vacations and summer trips in the family station wagon. This event will bring back memories and get everyone in the mood for vacation. In addition, as May is National Foster Care month, the Klingberg Family Centers Foster Care Program will share with attendees about the importance of Foster Care.”

Founded in 1903, Klingberg Family Centers is a private, nonprofit multi-service agency providing help to thousands of persons across Connecticut each year through twenty distinct programs besides Raymond Hill School. Klingberg’s mission is to extend hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been traumatized by abuse and/or neglect in its various forms, severe family problems, and mental health issues. Klingberg’s main campus is located in New Britain, Connecticut, with an additional location in Hartford.
